I spy a basketball................

Cooper D. never ceases to amaze me! yesterday he was trying to get to his older sister Dallas and make her mad. He came into the house and said that he lost the basketball, and it went into the lake. This made her so mad and we had no reason not to believe him since we have lost a total of about probably 30 basketballs in the lake since we have lived here. He continued to have that sly little grin, and giggle, which lead me to think that he was up to something. It wasn't until the next day, as we were coming home around the corner.........and we spotted the basketball. On our porch. Cooper thought it was hilarious!!
how that lil' stinker was able to wedge that basketball in that particular spot that he obviously could not reach, just amazes me! Only Cooper D!!!!!!

A beautiful Fall Sunday afternoon....Until the Basketball brawl

As the summer comes to a close, the lake becomes more quiet and peaceful. As my kids were all outside playing, I admired the beauty as I was standing on by driveway...because the "quiet" was getting ready to come to an end..........................
My two oldest asked me to be "referee" while they engaged in a competitive game of one-on one. I recalled that it sure had been awhile since they had done this, and as they started the game, I very quickly remembered why. The yelling "foul", the pushing, the accusations of someone cheating the entire time and the crying, yes I said crying. So......I took pictures to remind me how they used to compete together, because, after this game I said "NO MORE"!!!!
They are both just so competitive, and very athletic. Little brother Jackson can give Big Sis Dallas a real "run for her money". Not a good combo.
My little dude, Cooper D.

Look Aunt Natalie, Ellie has on a shirt!

The Girls are getting baptised!!!!!!

The big day has finally arrived for Sophie and Dallas! The girls were so excited! They were glowing today in church. We were all so proud. Many family members came today to witness their love for the Lord. We even had an unexpected surprise to make the day even more special, and Stacy and I in tears.............................These girls have made us all soooooo proud. How blessed we are to have such awesome girls in our family. What a special day!!!
Our Little Grandma Scott. She doesn't' get out much because she can't. She is 91 years old and so fragile. She often says that she believes the only reason that she is still alive is to pray for all of her family. She hugged me today and said watching Dallas and Sophie get baptised today was an answer to two of her prayers. Nice to know you have a little prayer warrior standing in the gap for you on a daily basis. We haven't seem Grandma in awhile. Our Little Sis Natalie went to get her before coming to Camdenton to see the girls. Stacy and I never expected to see her so carefully scoot her walker around the corner, to sit down in the pews. We were a mess!!!! It meant so much to all of us for her to be there. We love her so much. Here she is sitting with my beautiful mother. Isn't she precious?!!
My good lookin' little Cooper D. He was named after my Grandpa Scott, who died when I was 10 years old of a heart attack. I believe he was only 67. Coops. middle name is David. I always heard that my grandpa was very mischievous as a kid and into everything. So I guess Cooper D. comes by it honestly!!! He is non stop and when i am tired he exhausts me, but he is so incredibly special!! I love that little dude!!

After church was over, the girls found Great Grandma and gave her some love.

Jackson and Bo. After watching their Sisters today, I think that they are excited about being next. I hope that Cooper joins them. What a special day that will be.

family and fellowship after church.............

All of the great grand kids and "old" Grandma Scott. hope she doesn't mind us calling her old, but she is 91, and if I'm not mistaking, I've heard her refer to herself like that many times.
Aunt Natalie, minus Uncle Frankie due to football duties, listening to Stacy and I talk about "lemon" Tug. he always gives us a good laugh.

My big girl, looking all grown up, showing off her beautiful special Bible that Natalie and Frank got for her on her baptism day. Sophie got some pretty special gifts too. Dallas loves it. All afternoon she layed on the couch quizing her brothers if they knew how old certain people were when they died. I didn't even know Adam was as old as 930 when he died, and Noah was 600 years old when he built the ark. Fascinating!!!!!

Little Ellie Grace, eating some yummy dessert.

Aunt Natalie with her nieces. She was so proud of them, as we all were!! What a very special day. Bo and Jackson can't wait to get baptised now. They didn't know you get gifts, and a huge delicious Sunday lunch to go along with it.

I cherish these days.......

This is my last year with my baby girl before she starts to kindergarten next year. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, we have all day together alone....The other days of the week I work, and she goes to pre-school. When Ellie starts Kindergarten, I will have had a child home with me on my days off for a total of 13 years straight. What am I going to do??? So for now, I am trying to make the most of it. These pics, just give an idea, of some of the things that we do in a typical day.Ellie loves to bake, and it doesn't matter what it is. So Today, we baked a double batch of Chocolate chip cookies. We will take some with us to Dallas Basketball practice, for an afternoon snack for all of the kids. The best part about this is you don't have to share the bowl with any siblings when it comes time to "lick". heheh
Of course, we started with washing our hands

Ellie took time to kinda water the plants on the front lawn. She enjoyed it. For those of you who have seen my blog before, and I am sure my lil sis, Nat is going to point it out again, but Ellie when she is home, doesn't wear a shirt very often. What can I say, she has brothers, and is kinda a "tomboy". She won't be able to get away with this much longer, so for now, it's o.k.

first thing this morning, she went into my closet and found some of my high heeled boots, so that she would be tall. Dallas has been doing this lately, so now Ellie is too.

Ellie always gives mommy time for luvin'. I love her so much!!!

Coop, please don't climb the walls again when strangers are here!!!.

Coop can climb ANYTHING!!! On one particular day, I recall that we had a few peole come to see our home because it is for sale. We didn't have time to leave, so we tried to stay out of their way as they viewed our home. I couldn't believe my eyes, when I walked around the corner and Cooper had climbed all the way up the door frame for all to see. That day gave a literal meaning to .............."kids climbing the walls."he even climbs trees. AMAZING!
I thought this was precious. Big Brother Coop was painting little sissies finger nails and toe nails. Look at how hard he is concentrating. I love it!!!!

The kids wanted a nice dinner on the deck on this particular warm, beautiful evening. It worked out great.....until Jackson had a spider crawling on him. We quickly moved the "party" inside. And yes, that is our three legged Kitty behind Dallas on the chair. As you can see, she is still doing great.

Back to 2009. Labor Day weekend with the Bartletts

We just love the Bartletts. i cant say that this was the most beautiful weekends for fun on the lake, however we made the most of our time together. We all get together several times a year and always have such a wonderful time. They have 2 beautiful girls. Mikayla is 13, and Chloe is 10. All the kids waiting on dinner. I think they were hungry.
........and there they all are

we went on a walk. all the other kids ran off and left little Ellie, so Chloe came back to walk with her. how sweet she is!!!

Cooper jumping rope on the dock
A fun game of wiffel ball

a very competitive game of basketball

Mikayla and Dallas

Our Pet, on top of the dock, Ashton. He has lived here as long as we have

Jackson, Chloe, and Cooper just enjoying being together
O.K.!! This is a BIG NO-NO!!!! At one point we realized Coop and Ellie weren't with the group. As I looked in the yard, this is what I saw. He found the key. Thank goodness he hadn't taken off down the road......yet.

Brent and Travis Left the house on Sunday Morning at 5:00 to go fishing.

Jackson fishing off the dock. Are those freckles the best, or what? I know this must make Uncle Frankie so proud. hehe

The Kids on the jet ski, only to stay in our little area. My eyes were on them at all times.
