Dallas, my oldest and myself.

I try to convince Dallas that especially in the summer when she is so tan, that she doesn't need even a drop of make-up. Such a beautiful girl.

There is always lots of bike riding that goes on in Tybee. All of the kids, and adults enjoy that so much!

Jackson and Dallas

This happened to be the same day that Mom and Dad had to leave unexpectedly due to the early arrival of Baby Hays. It didn't take the kids any time at all to take over their bedroom. This happened to be late one evening, most of us were already in bed and I went to check on where all of the other kids were and this is what I found. A very intense card game. Ellie with all of the boys. She had always enjoyed playing with boys more than girls. Now you can see why! She is surrounded by boys all of the time!

knowing Mommy's love

My little sister Natalie has recently been given one of Gods greatest gifts, A precious baby boy. We are all beyond excited and in love with our new addition to the family. He couldn't be more perfect!!
You might not even know that Dallas was holding this "bundle of Love" unless you saw those precious little feet with band aids on his heels.....awwwThere is no place in this world that Ellie would rather be than right where she is in this picture, holding her little baby cousin and feeding him a bottle.

She thought he was pretty awesome, as we all do.

The boys, just thrilled to add another one of "them" to the mix of now 8 kids on our side of the family. The girls are a little outnumbered at this point. 5 boys and 3 girls. O.k. Nat, you know what you need to do for the next one:):) What can I say. He is the definition of Gods perfect work, a blessing, a joy, and we are all so overjoyed that he is here!!!

Surprise Arrival................cont............

Looky who decided to come when we were all away on a family vacation? You guessed it, little baby Hays. Our family made our way to see him the first chance that we had, which was the very next morning after getting home at 9:00 the night before. He was only working on 4 days old. Jackson thought he was pretty neat, but maybe just a little boring for now!!
Oh Ellie loves babies, especially boy ones! When Aunt Natalie told her she was having a baby, Ellie said..........."it better be a boy and I don't want him to have any hair" Ellie is very pleased with baby Hays.!!

Dallas couldn't wait to get her hands on her little cousin. She is alot like me when it comes to "nurturing" She loves little kids, babies, and loves the idea of babysitting. I was always like that too. When Hays' momma was born, I was the same age as Dallas, and I was in 'heaven". My own little live baby to take care of, and that is exactly what I did. I babysat her in the summer while mom went to work and many evenings.......Dallas thinks I was so lucky, and I have to say that I was. So, Dallas begs me to have one more baby so she can experience what I did, to which I say NOT GOING TO HAPPEN, 4 is plenty. Now we can just spoil little Hays!!

I have to say that my little aunry Cooper was the most excited the night that Hays was born while we were in Georgia. We all waited up that night and it was around 11:00 when the calls started coming in that he had finally arrived!! Coop jumped out of bed to go and get all of the other kids to hear the news. He was so excited. And when we got the first text picture, Cooper started talking to him and kissed the phone. So Sweet!!!

I so love our baby Hays!! I knew that I would love him, but I can relate it to carrying my own, in the way that you don't know how much love you will have until you hold them and see them for the first time. That is how I felt with Hays!! The LOVE was stronger than I even expected it to be!!

Mothers Day 2010...I LOVE YOU MOM!!!

My Mamma with her 3 daughters, and her 2 oldest Granddaughters! What my Mom means to me, ........WOW, I don't think that I could put into words. I remember when I had my first born daughter and I bought this beautiful picture with a poem of a Mothers love for her child. On the back of this picture, was an envelope for me to insert a message for a keepsake for her to read as she got older. The envelope is still empty to this day and she is going on 13.
The reason is because my love for her was so intense, that there were absolutely NO words that I could have ever written to express how my heart felt for her, so I wrote nothing. That is also how I am feeling about my mom. It is hard for me to put into words the love that I have always had for her even more so to this day. I have always been such a mammas girl. I am so lucky to know that my mom is there for me at any time of the day or night....She really is my very best friend! My childhood memories are of a mom who always believed in me, was my biggest fan, my protector, she prayed over me, encouraged me, directed me, and only wanted the absolute best for me in all things. She always told me that "pretty is as pretty does" and never let me say that I "couldn't" do something. She also taught me how to always accept a compliment. She was always a giver and still is. Even though we never had an over abundance of money growing up, I thought we were "rich". I know now it was all of the love that was always giving! I was a happy child, and because of her, I am a happy adult. She is the first one I go to for advice, and with 4 kids, I need alot of it. I aspire to do as good of a job raising my kids, that my mom did with me. And I can only hope that my children will always love me the way that I have always loved my Mamma! I LOVE YOU MOM!!!!!!!

Me with my 4 children on Mothers Day 2010. I love them all so much. They give me so much joy, excitement, love and .........exhaustion!! hehe
