FIELD TRIP.....with just the cousins

It was finally time!!!We are all busy with our lives going in so many directions constantly, it is hard to get us all at the same place for a day to make memories such as the ones we made today! Not long ago my 93 year. old Grandma told me she remembers when she felt like she never had any time, but now all she has is time. WOW! It made me stop and think how things sure change for us all as we age. So, today was all for her. Mom, my sisters and all of the kids spent the day at the farm, loving on Grandma. I have so many memories there growing up. There was so much life around at one time. The constant sounds of the milk barn. Cows everywhere along with plenty of cats, and kittens. Now all of the barns are falling apart. There are no more dairy cows around and all of the familiar sounds of times gone by are silent. Another reminder of the passing years! But there is one constant. And that is Grandma. We love her so much! The kids went on many walks to explore. Cooper brought a box along hopeing that he would catch something....not sure what he had in mind! Bo was taken with the goats, he skipped out on this walk.

FIELD TRIP.....with just the cousins

The kids couldn't wait to go on a walk...so much land to explore!
The reason for the day! Our Grandma Scott, who is 93 years old.

Dallas and Sophie

The farmhouse...you can see Bear and Cooper at the end of their walk.

This was the only picture that I got of Hays. He is with Cooper. He is sooooo cute with adorable red head!

FIELD TRIP.....with just the cousins

After spending the day at Great Grandma's house....Stacy decided that she knew of the best place to buy seeds, for our gardens that we plan on planting this spring. I know nothing about gardens, however I love the idea and Mom knows lots. She is going to partner with me. I know that they are alot of work. But with 4 kids to help, I am willing! Jackson, Sophie and Dallas, actually looking at a huge, beautiful Turkey!
This place was called Bakersville, in Mansfield, mo. It really was a neat place. The weather was also perfect for all of us to spend most of it outdoors.

More pics from Grandma Scotts house. Most of the kids, excluding Bo and Baby Hays.

Baby Goats. They were so cute.

Dallas just loving being out of school!

Ellie Grace turns 6!!!!

Wow, my baby turns another year older! She is now more than a whole hand.Ellie and her big sister Dallas. This was taken on February 15th, Ellies Birthday!

Now heres something you don't see everyday........

WANNA TAKE A GUESS???
HERE IS ANOTHER VIEW FOR YA!

Well we weren't sure either at first so then Travis looked it up. It all started last night at around 10:00. All of the kids were in bed. Travis went into the pantry to get a little bedtime snack, and found something very interesting looking up at him with a furry tail and big eyes. He immediately shut the door and came into the bedroom to share the excitement with me. Not sure what to do with it, or how to get it out of there, we put our mostly indoor "diva" cat in there with it. At this point Travis had me convinced that it was some kind of field mouse. I had not seen it yet. BUT.... as soon as I caught a glimpse, It was way too cute to have a cat determine it's fate, so I threw a fit, along with my 13 year old, that it deserved to live and that he must go in there and catch it. So he did. All you have to do is look at the tail and know it is not any kind of mouse, it was some kind of squirrel. And that is what we determined by looking online. It was a flying squirrel, in our pantry!
This was worthy enough to get the kids out of bed. We knew they would enjoy our little find.....and they sure did.

I was hopeing that the lid was not going to pop off while Ellie was holding it. Thank goodness it did not! Right after this we went out on the porch and let the little fella go. Then it was off to bed......again...........but the question still remains, HOW, did it ever get in there in the first place?

"My weekend while my mommy was away"

My Aunt Stefie and my cousins came to watch me for a few days while my mommy and daddy went away for their Anniversary. It made me worry at first because I am trying to train my mommy and daddy not to let me cry. I think they might be catching on. So I had to set things straight from the very beginning.Aunt Stefie and my cousins had to realize ..........
There was going to be a whole lot of this .............

If there was not enough of this!!!

My Auntie even bought this handy little carrier, just so I could be really close to her all weekend!! She catches on fast!!! I think I am really going to like her!!

Then everyone thought it would be fun to give me a bath.It was nice but the water could have been a little warmer!
It was very relaxing. Before I knew it, I was getting very sleepy.

I felt like I needed to give everyone a reminder to keep me close through the night........real close!

Yes cousin Dallas!! This will work! You got it!!

O.k.....O.K.......even this will work!! Good job cousin Ellie!!

Then it was time to shop! It was better than ever! My Aunt Stefie has me all figured out. I was so cozy and warm. I could even hear her heart beating if I listened close enough. aww the memories!! So I just decided to relax and take it easy, and sleep!! It was great!!

My Aunt has been good to me, so I decided to be good to her right back!!

I sure hope Aunt Stefie tells my mom about this thing!! It is great!!

"my weeekend while mommy was away"cont.....

I caught my big cousin Jackson checking me out a few times. People say he resembles my daddy with all of those freckles on his face. I wonder if I will look like Jackson too?
Silly cousin Ellie LOVED my crib! I am not sure why....because I don't!!!!

The "brothers" laughed all night watching "A Christmas Story". Must have been pretty funny! My worry at this time was that I wasn't going to be going to my crib!

So far, so good! I heard my Aunt Stefie say she was going to stay with me the entire night on the couch. wooohooo!!

O.K. I admit it! I love my paci! I always have. But for some reason my Auntie and cousins could not stop laughing at me this morning while a enjoyed a little "me" time. I even gave them all a break from having to hold me. I hope my Aunt Stefie leaves this paci at my house. I just love the way it fits my mouth!!

Baby Hays and his first 4th of July

Our family has a tradition of celebrating the 4th on my sister Stacy's dock. We sure didn't want to leave out little Hays. The boat stayed docked, and Hays stayed very cool that way. Not even 2 wks. old, he was very included in our 4th of July celebration. There was actually about 20 some kids around. Tons of friends as well. Lots of action and loads of fun. I love babies....I love babies...I love babies...especially when it's Hays!!
My Dallas is so Good with him!

Ellie giving him a little kiss on the head.

Baby Hays on the 4th...cont.......

Coop so proud of his new baby cousin
Little Ellie, beaming with joy to be holding this little one.

Look at that little face, and you can already tell that he loves his aunt Stefie very much!!

Had to get Jackson in on the "Hays" 4th of July photos. Notice he didn't stop long enough to sit and hold the newborn, but make no mistake, he loves him very much!!

Dallas adores Him!

Tybee vacation summer 2010

Once again this summer my sister Stacy and I took our families to Tybee Island Georgia to create more great memories! We also talked our parents into going with us. We all drove, got there Saturday morning, and mom and dad had to rush out of the state on a one way flight back to Missouri due to our little sister, Natalie, unexpectedly needing to have her baby. They left early Wednesday morning..............did I say ....create memories? Boy did we ever!!
Cooper D.

OHHHH to be a kid again! Doesn't that look heavenly? Unfortunately I found this in the fridge the next morning, and before I knew it, I had finished it off.....oops! Oh well, it was delicious!!!

Dallas and Sophie having a little fun while we all wait in line to eat at Mrs. Wilkes in Savannah.

WE tried to get Cooper to stop doing this for his own safety, however he would slow way down and actually it is so stinkin cute and totally defines his personality. Very talented huh?
